IRISv, Corner Detecting Radar (Single-Chip Radar)
IRISv, the ultimate 360° detecting corner radar for its essential usage. Mounted all-around the corners of vehicle, IRISv system will provide the full mid-range coverage of radar sensor to understand mid-to-short range environment and serve as the most essential radar. IRISv has its unique advantages in that it will be adequate to perform fully inside the vehicle. Under the front/back bumpers of the car stationed on each side of the bumpers, will the IRISv system be fully monitoring the environment fully. IRISv, unlike the camera or Lidar will work fully under any unfriendly weather conditions (fog, rain, dust, snow, flare-proof). Even over walls in the corner environments will the radar solution acknowledge the object/human/environment in advance to provide alarms to the car.
RETINA, Multi-Chip Cascade Radar (RETINA2: 2-Chip Cascade Radar, RETINA4: 4-Chip Cascade Radar)
RETINA 2L & 4W will serve as LRR for the automotive vehicle. With the long-range detecting capability, the radar can oversee the longer range of the environment ahead from the vehicle to understand the characteristics in advance. RETINA 2L and 4W maybe both effective to understand the environment. With the radar chip cascade, RETINA inherently provide elevation information as well as the azimuth information to distinguish objects that are above the car-level. Distinguishing the elevation information is key to the ADAS solution as it will require elevation level of each objects detected to classify the danger levels. It can detect the height information and long range understandings to warn the car in advance to let real autonomous driving possible. The 4-Chip cascade solution provide much improved angular resolution for Azimuth and Elevation to differentiate close two objects. As the videos do suggest, the actual pointcloud itself are much smaller then the 2-chip cascade result. Smart Radar System, with the solution are trying to move up the bar even more to provide much resolute and accurate pointclouds to be more revolutionary.
